What is automatic billing?

Automatic billing is the processed used to pay the entire remaining balance of your reservation after a deposit via the means of automatically billing you.  This can be done by using one credit card to cover the entire balance of your reservation over several monthly payments.

 

What are the advantages of automatic billing?

 

The advantage of automatic billing is that it is convenient and free when used.  Payments are automatic and is evenly divided.  This eliminates the chance of forgetting to pay, causing the cancellation of your reservation or being assessed a late fee.

 

Will Optimal Choice Travel send a reminder before I am charged?

 

Yes, Optimal Choice Travel will email you payment reminders at the beginning of each month if enrolled in the automatic billing plan.  Additionally, you will receive an email confirmation after each monthly payment is processed.

 

How many payments will I have and when are they be due?

 

The number of payments are based on the outstanding balance of your account and how many months is left from the booking date to the final payment due date.  Your payment plan will be visible when making the reservation.   Monthly payments are due on or about the same date of the month of the first payment.

 

Does Optimal Choice Travel keep my credit card information safe?

 

Optimal Choice Travel’s online payment system is in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), which is a comprehensive set of requirements developed by the major card brands to facilitate two (2) consistent data security measures.   In order to protect your information, Optimal Choice Travel does not store your credit card information, other than for clients who have enrolled in automatic billing that our credit card processing that we offer.

 

What happens if a credit card declines during the payment plan?

 

When a card declines during your monthly payment plan, an attempt is made to charge your card two days later.   If the card declines a second time, a notification email will be sent requesting that payment be made immediately or the reservations will be cancelled.

 

What happens if a credit card expires or a new credit card is issued during the payment plan?

 

If a card expires or you would like to add a new credit card to your plan, you can always contact us to update your payment information.
